Call for Industry Panels

Goal
A Panel aims at bringing together Speakers from industry and academia, encompassing several sectors, to discuss a timely and relevant topic of interest to conference participants.

Proposal
The proposal for an Industry Presentation should follow the template indicating the following information:

  • Moderator’s Name
  • Moderator’s Institution
  • Moderator's Bio
  • Moderator’s Email
  • Panel Title
  • Motivation and Context
  • Questions
  • Speakers List
  • Speakers’ Bio
  • Speakers’ Photo

The information should be emailed to Anaïs Détolle at adetolle@numana.tech, as a *.DOC attachment.

Download the Industry Panel Submission template.

Panel Structure

To ensure a balanced and engaging discussion, we suggest the following structure:

  • Panel Size:  Ideally, include 4 speakers (maximum 5) plus the moderator.
  • Industry Representation:  Aim for a majority of panelists from the industry.
  • Moderator Role:  The panel organizer typically serves as the moderator.
  • Panel Format:  A suggested structure includes a 10-minute moderator introduction followed by 10-minute speaker presentations addressing the proposed questions (using a maximum of 6 slides).
  • Flexibility:  Should they identify a more suited way to discuss their specific Panel topic (for example to ensure more dynamic exchanges or more interesting interactions), the Moderator and his/her team is welcome to propose some alteration to this standard structure, to be reviewed by the Industry Forums & Exhibitions Chairs.

Speaker Participation

We encourage all panelists to attend in person, as this helps foster better discussions. However, if travel restrictions are a concern, one speaker (not the moderator) may participate remotely. Please ensure that presentations are uploaded to a local computer before the session starts and be prepared for live presentations.

We also highly value diversity in our panels, so we encourage a mix of perspectives and backgrounds.

Panel Schedule and Duration
Panels will be held during the conference programme, in parallel to other technical sessions, including industry ones. Panels will run for 90 minutes.
